Trespasser disposes meth pipe while trying to evade arrest also charged with animal cruelty | City of Madera Police Department

Officers were dispatched to a residence in regards to a subject trespassing. Upon arrival they contacted Miguel Vega, who threw a meth pipe as he tried to walk away. He was found to be on probation and had three felony warrants. A follow up probation search of his residence was conducted. As a result he was found to be in possession of ammunition, along with two dogs that had no food and were emaciated. Animal control arrived and took custody of the dogs. Miguel was booked at the Madera County Jail for the warrants, probation violation and for being a felon in possession of ammunition. Animal cruelty charges will be forwarded to the Madera District Attorney’s office. MT
