House Fire Resulted From Illegal Wiring Leads To Indoor/Outdoor Marijuana Grow | City of Madera Police Department

Last night a fire in the 300 block of Knox St. led to the discovery of an illegal indoor/outdoor marijuana grow. Over fifty plants were located along with a very dangerous illegal wiring system. The homemade transformers and electrical wiring shown in picture 2 are designed to bypass the PG&E meter and provide light to the plants, passing the expense of the extra electricity off to law abiding citizens who pay their bills. Simeon McDonald was arrested for cultivation of marijuana. JA 3597
