Madera Resident apprehends a suspect that stole items out of his vehicle. – City of Madera Police Department

Last night Christopher Guerra was observed entering a vehicle, in the parking lot of Office Depot on West Cleveland Ave, by a concerned citizen. Christopher was seen removing items and ran from the scene. This good Samaritan called police and alerted the owner, who was able to catch up to Christopher and retrieved his property. Once we arrived we located Christopher and he was booked into jail. Although we do not advocate citizens trying to detain or apprehend potential suspect(s) in our city, this was great teamwork by all, and shows how the best way to combat crime and make our community safer is doing it together. Be safe and do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns. MT¬if_t=notify_me_page
