A database of email addresses used to register for the adult cheating site AshleyMadison.com reveals several from California government, including three from Fresno.gov. and one from Madera County’s government site. Hackers say they managed to get past the site’s security measures and access information about all of its users, including names and email addresses. The information was posted on what is commonly called”The Dark Web” but is now making its way to search engines around the internet that are easily accessible to all. The Ashley Madison site promoted itself as a way for married people to find people with whom they could have sexual affairs.
Among the email addresses used are thousands from US military sites, such as navy.mil and army.mil.
