Hacked Ashley Madison Emails Include Several From Fresno.gov, Madera.gov – KMPH FOX 26 | Central San Joaquin Valley News Source

A database of email addresses used to register for the adult cheating site AshleyMadison.com reveals several from California government, including three from Fresno.gov. and one from Madera County’s government site. Hackers say they managed to get past the site’s security measures and access information about all of its users, including names and email addresses. The information was posted on what is commonly called”The Dark Web” but is now making its way to search engines around the internet that are easily accessible to all. The Ashley Madison site promoted itself as a way for married people to find people with whom they could have sexual affairs.

Among the email addresses used are thousands from US military sites, such as navy.mil and army.mil.

44 are from WhiteHouse.gov, the email address given to those who work for the President. 45 are from the US Department of Human Services. Three come from the California Department of Human Services. 3 come from email addresses used by the Capitol Police Force in Washington, DC.

9 come from email addresses that belong to the city of Riverside, CA’s government, and another nine from sandiego.gov. Seven are from the California Department of Corrections, and five from the California Department of Transportation.
