Suspicious Activity in a Vacant Home leads to 2 being arrested and stolen property located – City of Madera Police Department

At 01:30 a.m., officers went to 1125 Garfield Avenue to investigate suspicious activity. The residence was supposed to be unoccupied as it is currently for sale. The officers located a stolen vehicle parked in the driveway and a second stolen vehicle parked along the curb. Juan Mendoza (age 29) and Blanca Gomez (age 27) were located at the residence. Juan was found to be in possession of the keys to the stolen vehicle in the driveway and Blanca was already on probation for vehicle theft. They were booked into Madera County Jail.
