$43,000.00 a year raise for the County Administrator?! Please let your County Supervisor know where you stand.

How would you like a $43,000.00 raise? The dollar amount alone could pay for an entry level firefighter.

You also must factor in that the County Supervisors will be proposing an increase in the County Sales Tax on the June 2016 ballot.

This is on tomorrow’s Supervisor agenda.

Please call your supervisor and let them know how you feel.

  1. Someone needs to learn math, as the difference between the two given figures is $31,617.54. While that may seem excessive (and I would like to see the performance evaluation criteria) it is a 17.3% increase in salary. That is the equivalent of someone making $10 an hour getting a raise to $11.73…

    • The recommended actions are presented in an effort to recruit and retain executive level talent in the County of Madera.

The first recommended action to increase the base annual salary for the position of County Administrative Officer from Range 453 ($143,006.45 – $173,825.26) to Range 485 ($167,752.75 – $203,904.51) will place the County at a strategic advantage to recruit for this top-level executive should the need arise.

The second recommended action to adopt a Resolution adjusting the salary for CAO Eric Fleming is an extension of the first recommended action. It also maintains the current step already provided to CAO Fleming and the intent to provide future salary increases based on performance as referenced in the January 6, 2015 Board-approved Resolution.
