A Madera man got 502 years to life in prison after being convicted Wednesday of molesting three of his step granddaughters for seven years, Madera County District Attorney David Linn said.
Fred Gonzalez lived with the girls between 2004 and 2011. He committed acts of sexual molestation by force, fear and violence, the DA’s Office said.
He was convicted on eight counts of child molestation with special circumstances. Gonzalez committed two prior sex crimes against children and was found to be a habitual sex offender, the DA’s Office said.
“The victims showed great courage in coming forward to assist in this conviction,” Linn said.
