Parolee from Bakersfield arrested after fight and attempted car theft | City of Madera Police Department

Last night at about 11:15pm officers were dispatched to 110 W. Adell regarding several subjects involved in a fight. Upon arrival, Julio Torrez shown below fled from the scene. It was believed that he was attempting to steal a vehicle that was left running in the area; however when he approached the car, the driver wisely drove off. Several subjects then confronted Torrez and called police. A search of the complex led to the location of Torrez hiding in the bed of a truck. He was determined to be a wanted parolee out of Bakersfield and booked into jail. MT.
