Madera Burglary Interrupted, Suspects Arrested
At about 2 AM on Wednesday morning Madera Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to an alarm at an irrigation business in the 20000 block of Golden State Boulevard. When Deputies arrived they found an adult female sitting inside a Nissan SUV just south of the business. She was detained while additional Deputies checked the property; two adult male suspects were seen inside the fenced area behind the business, one fled the scene on foot and the other was located hiding inside an irrigation pipe. The female and male were arrested at the scene and have been identified as Monica Sanchez and Richard Streatch, both of Chowchilla.
As Deputies investigated this incident, they found that two cargo containers behind the business had been broken into; they also found the wallet of the third suspect inside the SUV along with property that had been stolen in an earlier burglary. Sanchez was arrested for Conspiracy and Possession of Stolen Property. Streatch was arrested for Commercial Burglary, Possession of Stolen Property, Possession of Burglary Tools, Conspiracy, and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
At about 10 AM Sheriff’s Deputies and the Ag Crimes Detective located the third suspect, Dillian Barefield, at his former residence in the Fairmead area. Barefield was arrested for Commercial Burglary, Conspiracy, Possession of Stolen Property, and Providing False Registration on a Motor Vehicle, he was also placed on a Parole hold. Barefield’s mother, Dannette Barefield, was also at this residence and was arrested for two No Bail Probation Violation warrants.
Sheriff Varney added “This is an excellent example of private alarm technology helping our Deputies do their job.”
