On Thursday October 13, 2016 Officers of the Chowchilla Police Department were dispatched to the 1700 block of W. Robertson Blvd for a report of a carjacking. Upon arrival Officers located the victims vehicle and contacted two female subjects and two male juveniles. Concluding the investigation it was determined that the two male juveniles were known “Sureno” criminal street gang members. They were reported to have been in a physical altercation with two known “Norteno” criminal street gang members. During the fight one of the juveniles pulled out a black folding pocket knife and stabbed the victim in his upper chest area. After stabbing the victim, one of juvenile suspects took the victim’s vehicle and fled the area in it while the other fled on foot. Both suspects were contacted by officers who were already in the area. The knife used in the crime was found near the suspects. Both juvenile suspects were arrested and booked into juvenile hall for attempted murder with a gang enhancement, accessory to murder, theft of a vehicle and probation violations.
